Dear Friends of Adoray:
Adoray is on a mission to become the Premier Provider of Bereavement & Grief Support in our communities throughout Western Wisconsin. At Adoray, we would like to create awareness, education, understanding, and support for Grief, Trauma, and Loss in our 6-county service area. Adoray’s Bereavement Program currently relies on funds from daily reimbursement rates for patients on hospice care. These rates are much lower than the actual cost to care for a hospice patient each day. These limited funds then need to be allocated to the entire Hospice Circle of Care or Interdisciplinary Team. Please see the graphic below. Adoray’s Grief Support Providers are just one of the many parts of the team that cares for our patients.
Grief, Trauma, and Loss Support is essential not only for hospice patients but also for their caregiver and their families. It is also Adoray’s goal to not only offer skilled Bereavement & Grief Support care to our patients and their families but also to the community. Adoray is already there for the entire family who is facing the daily challenges associated with life-threatening illness, whether physical, psychological, social, or spiritual. We are interested in expanding our services and extending them to the community as a whole. We want to be the experts and the ones you can come to if you find yourself facing tragedy. You do not have to do it alone. Our Grief, Trauma, and Loss Support team is here for you and will walk with you through the process.
To do so, we would like to raise $50,000 in 2023. The funds will be used to support the revolutionary transformation of our cognitive approach-based bereavement program. The goal of Adoray is to raise funds to cover the cost of having our Social Workers and Spiritual Counselors become Certified Grief Counselors. Along with having our Bereavement Coordinator begin training in EMDR to be able to provide these important services to our patients, their loved ones, and the community.
