Date: Nov, 5 2025
November is a special month — it’s both National Hospice and Palliative Care Month and National Family Caregivers Month. At Adoray Home Health & Hospice, we celebrate the people who make hospice and palliative care possible: the dedicated professionals, volunteers, and family caregivers who provide love, comfort, and support every day.
This year’s national theme, “We See the Whole You,” reminds us that hospice and palliative care are about more than managing symptoms. They are about honoring the unique story of every person — their values, hopes, and life experiences — while supporting families through life’s most meaningful and challenging moments.
At Adoray, our Care Team embodies this every day. For 30 years, our nonprofit, community-based organization has provided compassionate, person-centered care across Western Wisconsin, ensuring that no one faces serious illness or end-of-life journeys alone.
Our team puts people over profits, helping patients live with dignity and comfort while supporting families every step of the way.
This November, we invite the community to:
• Learn more about hospice and palliative care — stay tuned for a special Western Wisconsin Health Rural Health Podcast episode dedicated to hospice and palliative care, where you can hear more about these unique and important services.
• Celebrate the Care Heroes who make compassionate care possible — consider making a donation in honor of one of Adoray’s caregivers who has made a difference in your life, helping us continue our mission to provide care for even more people in need.
• Share your stories — tell us how hospice or palliative care has supported you or a loved one so others can learn from your experience. One meaningful way to do this is by leaving a 5-star review on Adoray’s Google page, helping families find the care they need when they need it most.
• Share our stories – Each week we will share a story about how “we see the whole you” at Adoray on our social media pages. Please share them with your circle to help spread the love and awareness of hospice care so everyone in our community know about this important service.
o Marty’s Story
“Marty’s dream to enjoy campfires and the outdoors again came true.”
With the help of Adoray’s Dream Big program, a custom-built ramp and new steps restored Marty’s access to his yard. He can once again enjoy fireside evenings, car rides, and special moments with loved ones.
o Duane’s Story
“A 90th birthday and a lifetime of service, honored with joy and gratitude.”
Duane, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, celebrated his 90th birthday with family, friends, and the Adoray team. The celebration continued with a We Honor Veterans Pinning Ceremony, recognizing his service and life story.
At Adoray, we see the whole you — honoring every life, milestone, and legacy.
o Donna’s Story
“Safe to say Donna is in love!”
Through Adoray’s Companion Pets program, Donna received a robotic cat like the one she adored. Hours of giggles, kisses, and joy later, Donna’s days are filled with comfort, engagement, and cherished memories.
For patients with dementia, our programs provide emotional support, calm, and connection — because at Adoray, we see the whole you.
o Janice & Raymond’s Story
“Their 70th wedding anniversary was a moment the family will never forget.”
Adoray helped Janice & Raymond celebrate their milestone with a surprise gathering filled with live music, cake, flowers, balloons, and a heartfelt dance. Moments like these honor love, family, and cherished memories.
At Adoray, we see the whole you, celebrating life’s milestones and meaningful moments.
o Clancy’s Dream
“It’s about joy, compassion, and honoring what makes life meaningful.”
Clancy loved countryside drives and Dairy Queen trips with a dear friend. When that friend could no longer go, Adoray made it happen — creating a day full of laughter, memories, and connection.
Because at Adoray, we see the whole you— helping patients live fully, and enjoy the little things.
o James’ Story
“James wanted his grandchildren to always know their family’s story.”
One of our End-of-Life Doulas helped Marty create a legacy book filled with stories, photos, and reflections — a gift for his grandchildren to remember him and their family history for generations.
At Adoray, we see the whole you, helping families preserve memories, values, and love that last long after life’s journey ends.
“National Hospice and Palliative Care Month is a time to honor the essential role of caregivers and professionals who bring comfort, compassion, and peace to those facing serious illness,” said Christa Walz, Executive Director of Adoray. “We are proud to see our mission continue through the unwavering dedication of our team and the generous support of our community.”
