Adoray's 2nd Hospice Suite Opens

Date: Sep, 4 2025

The success of Adoray’s hospice rooms in Glenwood City and now Amery has sparked interest from other care centers, signaling a trend toward expanding access to end-of-life support in the region.

The new hospice room is open at Golden Age Manor. In partnership with Adoray, the team at Golden Age Manor believed it was important to have a larger space for families to gather during end-of-life care. Community members, Adoray, and representatives from Golden Age Manor attended the grand opening to showcase it to the public.

“I think it's a really neat concept. Because they can kind of have that home environment, but still within a facility to have that 24/7 nursing care that they have from the facility. Hospice is not 24/7. We're in, often as the patient needs, but we're not 24/7. So it's nice to have a really great space for family and the patient that's very homey, that they still have their 24/7 nursing,” Executive Director for Adoray Home and Hospice Christa Walz said.

This is the second hospice room set up by Adoray. Their first one was established last May in Glenhaven, located in Glenwood City. After recognizing the need and the success of that setup, Golden Age decided to partner and open one in Amery. Since helping to facilitate two hospice rooms at local care centers, others are now reaching out to see if they also have space to install their own hospice rooms.
