Power of 100 Women River Falls helps End of Life Doula program

Date: Dec, 1 2023

Power of 100 Women River Falls, a local group of women who are committed to making a difference in their community by pooling their resources and donating to local not-for-profits, has selected Adoray Home Health & Hospice as its 12th Impact Award recipient. Adoray Home Health & Hospice, a program of St.Croix Valley Shared Services, Inc., is a not-for-profit agency that provides compassionate, meaningful end-of-life care to patients and families in six counties in Wisconsin.

“Congratulations to Adoray Home Health & Hospice for being the 12th Impact recipient of Power of 100 Women River Falls. Thank you, Alison Page, for nominating Adoray. Your presentation was fantastic, and you touched our hearts.” said Nancy Foley, one of the founding members of Power of 100 Women River Falls.

The total funds donated by the members of Power of 100 Women River Falls are $18,650. In addition, the group has applied for a $5,000 matching donation from the Richard Schulze Family Foundation, a foundation that supports health and medicine issues. If this matching grant is received, the total funds to Adoray will be $23,650.

The funds will greatly benefit the start of Adoray’s end-of-life doula program, which will ensure that no one dies alone and that loved ones are supported through the dying process. An end-of-life doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to the dying person and their family. Adoray’s end-of-life doula program will be the first of its kind in the region.
“We are so grateful to Power of 100 Women River Falls and the Richard Schulze Family Foundation for their generous support of our end-of-life doula program. This program will make a huge difference in the lives of our patients and families who are facing the end of life. We are honored to be chosen as the 12th Impact Award recipient.” said Amanda Gustafson, Adoray’s CEO.
