On behalf of Adoray Home Health & Hospice, the Aging and Disability Center of Dunn County and the Dunn Energy Cooperative, we are excited to announce a wonderful opportunity that brings national and community experts, local resources, and community members together for a day of sharing and learning.
As you may know, caregiving and aging can be challenging and isolating. It may also be difficult to find the resources that could be helpful if you are just getting by day to day. We have seen this need in our community, and we are committed to offering this event to support caregivers and our aging community members on their journey.
The 1st Annual Aging DUNN Well Conference is a day-long educational opportunity to help community members consider options, ask questions, and explore resources. This year’s event features an inspirational Keynote speaker Sheri Fairman owner of Dementia Care Solutions and a Certified Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care. The Fish Approach to Dementia Care - People with dementia experience the world around them differently than we do. Understanding their experience and allowing that to guide our approach can make all the difference when caring for a person living with dementia. Guided by Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care, attendees will walk away with more tools to support their caregiving journey."
In addition to presentations to help you age well and care for your loved ones. With an optional hands-on Dementia Live Experience after the Conference.
The Conference invites elders, caregivers, loved ones, community members, and professionals to learn about local resources and discuss issues pertaining to aging and Dementia. This special day includes workshop materials, lunch, refreshments during breaks, access to vendors, and door prizes for participants.
