Grief & Spiritual Support

The death of a loved one can change your world forever. So much of how we define ourselves and what gives our lives meaning is a reflection of the people we deeply love. When they die, we question who we are without them and struggle to find meaning and purpose. Grief is the high price we pay for loving someone and can be felt mentally, emotionally and physically. If you are grieving or supporting someone who is grieving, we hope that you will find the following information to be helpful and comforting.

At Adoray Hospice, we believe that:

Grief is a normal and natural response to the death of a loved one.
Within each person is the innate capacity to heal.
The duration and intensity of the grief experience is unique for each person.
A supportive and caring environment can facilitate the process of healing.

We are here to support you. Please call 715.629.1888 or 800.359.0174 to speak to a grief and loss expert or explore our website for additional information and resources.

Remembrance Programs

Grief can shake us to our very core. Yet, it is an experience common to all of humanity. Remembering together can be a significant part of finding our way along the grief journey and fostering continuing bonds with our loved ones.

Each year, Adoray sponsors events to honor the lives of those who have been important to you. Remembering is made up of so much — happy times, sad times, lessons taught, lessons learned, the things we are grateful for as well as the things we could have done without. All of these thing are part of keeping memories real and alive in our hearts and minds.

Annual Memorial Service
Adoray’s Annual Memorial Service is a beautiful non-denominational service and remembrance. During this memorial celebration we listen to healing music and readings, and share stories about our loved ones who’ve had life endings.

Sunday April 30, 2017 – 4:00pm located at the Deerfield in New Richmond, WI

Silent Nights: Holiday Help for Grieving Hearts
When the holiday season is touched with the grief of a recent or past loss, moments shared with family and friends or encountered alone can be tender, bittersweet, sorrowful, peaceful, lonely, comforting…
These paradoxes of the grief experience can be a new and disconcerting part of your holiday experience. Adoray offers a holiday grief support event which includes information about preparing for the holidays, an opportunity to share about your loved one and create a momento in their honor.

This holiday grief event is held in both Polk and St. Croix County.

St Croix County – Tuesday, December 5th from 6:30pm-8pm located at the Hazel Mackin Library, Roberts, WI

Polk County – Thursday, December 7th from 6:30pm-8pm located at St Croix Regional Medical Center, St Croix Falls, WI .
